Stephen A. Smith once again lost his composure during an episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show, after a caller asked a question about two current NBA stars.
Smith is known for his outbursts during live broadcasts and, in his latest show, he was heard shouting down a question from a caller that involved superstar Steph Curry.
A caller from Seattle asked Smith whether he would take Golden State Warriors superstar Curry or the Atlanta Hawks sensation Trae Young based on their current abilities at their current age.
Usually, there would be no doubt over the answer – and there still may not be, according to Smith – but the caller felt it was a valid question given the difference in age between the two players, with Curry 11 years Young‘s senior at 35.
Stephen A. Smith’s rant about the Curry vs Young question
Responding in his renowned angry tone, Smith replied to the caller.
“Muhammed, my brother, with respect that’s a dumb question,” he said.
“What an idiotic question. Thank God you didn’t show your face when you asked that question.
“Steph Curry or Trae Young? It’s not even a question!
“Steph Curry is the greatest shooter ever known to man.
“It’s a dumb question. You can do better. I expect better from my callers. Because I will hang up on your ass.”
Smith didn’t quite hang up, but he may well have put every other caller off asking if a certain player is better than veteran star Curry in the future.
This caller wasn’t the first to push Smith‘s buttons, and he certainly won’t be the last.
