Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has been engaged in training sessions with his former teammate Ezekiel Elliott and expressed his admiration for the running back’s current condition, mentioning that he appears to be in excellent shape.

According to Dallas Morning News, Prescott and Elliott, along with other members of the Cowboys, have been utilizing their free time during the summer to work out at Prescott‘s residence.

“That’s my best friend,” Prescott said.

“We’ll continue to work, continue to push each other. He looks great. I’m excited for whatever opportunity he has coming up, and I’m always his biggest fan.”

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Prescott took the initiative to install a 55-yard synthetic turf practice field at his house. This space became known as “the Dakyard” and was utilized by Cowboys players when the team facilities were closed. It provided a convenient location for their training sessions.

Elliott‘s departure from the Cowboys occurred during the offseason due to the emergence of Tony Pollard, a younger and more affordable running back who possesses greater explosiveness.

The Cowboys faced financial constraints, making it challenging to allocate a significant portion of their resources to a running back, which led to Elliott‘s release.

Despite these circumstances, Prescott has publicly expressed his desire for Elliott to rejoin the team. As Elliott approaches his 28th birthday, the free agent market has shown limited interest in him, increasing the likelihood of a potential reunion with the Cowboys if no other team claims him.
