Aaron Rodgers is eager for his time in New York, surrounded by a robust roster that potentially has Super Bowl potential. The Jets already boast one of the most lock-down defenses in the league and the introduction of Rodgers into the mix could catalyze an offensive explosion in 2023.
The AFC East representatives might be looking to bolster their lineup further with additional star power. Adam Schefter, the esteemed NFL insider, hinted during his recent guest appearance on the Pat McAfee show that the Jets might be considering Dalvin Cook and DeAndre Hopkins.
On my podcast, I suggested the New York Jets should seriously contemplate on bringing Dalvin Cook onboard. It makes perfect sense to me. Evaluating the Jets’ early-season schedule, it’s a challenging journey… and there’s uncertainty around the timeline and efficacy of Breece Hall’s recovery from the ACL injury he sustained in the seventh week of last season.
With Breece Hall not at 100% yet, supplementing him with a talent like Dalvin Cook could work. Maybe then you strike a deal and invite DeAndre to join us in New York. Securing the services of both Dalvin Cook and DeAndre Hopkins could prove to be an uphill task for any team, but the prospect of winning a Super Bowl alongside Rodgers could be a powerful motivation.
If the Jets manage to bring these two-star athletes into an already loaded offense, they may emerge as the primary contender to the Kansas City Chiefs’ supremacy. While it’s still speculative at this point, Schefter has undoubtedly put forward a scenario worth keeping an eye on.
