ZTE Corporation, a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology (ICT) solutions, made a remarkable impact at the 2025 Nology Partner Conference, hosted in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Under the theme ‘Catalyzing Intelligent Innovation,’ ZTE unveiled its latest advancements in fixed network technologies, reinforcing its dedication to accelerating broadband upgrades for homes and businesses across Africa.

At the exhibition, Nology executives provided a comprehensive overview of the company’s business strategy and market opportunities in South Africa, while ZTE’s fixed-line experts presented cutting-edge technical solutions to an engaged audience. The event was charged with enthusiasm as internet service provider (ISP) customers actively engaged in discussions and shared insights. The exhibition not only enhanced the brand influence of both Nology and ZTE but also laid a strong foundation for future collaboration in advancing South Africa’s fixed-line broadband market.

ZTE has launched three innovative solutions tailored to the South African market:

  1. The lightweight passive optical network (PON) solution enables the rapid deployment of efficient optical networks through intelligent management.
  2. FTTR (fiber-to-the-room), combined with a smart home system, delivers a seamless gigabit experience for high-end users.
  3. All-in-a-Box quickly introduces rich content and increases average revenue per user (ARPU) value, and the integrated solution simplifies deployment and enhances operational efficiency through product convergence.

To meet the diverse needs of different customer segments, the company has introduced a differentiated product portfolio. For cost-effectiveness, it offers affordable Wi-Fi 6 + Mesh solutions to accelerate mass-market penetration. For high performance, it provides a Wi-Fi 7 and ATV bundle to ensure an optimal experience for gaming and 4K streaming. For smart living, it delivers a comprehensive smart home solution combining FTTR.

Since its launch, the WiFi 6 + Mesh Router H3601P—developed in collaboration with Nology—has gained widespread market acceptance from leading ISPs, delivering seamless connectivity to tens of thousands of households across South Africa.

Senior executives from leading ISPs and fiber network operators (FNOs) across South Africa visited the booth, engaging in in-depth discussions on FTTR deployment, Mesh networking technologies, and potential collaboration opportunities for future network expansion.

As a committed driving force in the digital economy, ZTE aims to strengthen its strategic partnership with Nology, jointly accelerating the development of South Africa’s communications infrastructure. Through a fusion of technological innovation and localized collaboration, ZTE remains dedicated to shaping Africa’s digital future and delivering mutually beneficial outcomes for all stakeholders.
