Youth And Women Have A Role In Achieving SDGs
The African youth have a crucial role to play in amplifying their participation and contribution in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The SDGs offer a common roadmap for inclusive and sustainable progress. over the past decade, notable progress has been made in advancing the Agenda 2030 goals worldwide, with clear contrasts between countries in the Global North and Global South.

Countries with strong statistical systems and financial resources better report on SDGs compared to those with inadequate funding, poor statistical infrastructure, and a lack of capacity and expertise resulting in poor quality data of and SDGs reports.
The participation of vulnerable groups, such as youth and women in SDG ecosystems needs to meet global expectations.
The African youth in in this context, Kenya youth have a crucial role to play in amplifying the voices of young change makers who are driving positive change in their communities and beyond.
The purpose of the NEF Africa SDGs Kenyan week edition is to raise awareness about SDGs among underserved groups such as youth and women and accelerate public publications in achieving set objectives across African Countries.
Speaking during the launch of SDGs Goals week, Next Einstein Forum Kenyan Ambassador and SDGs Week organiser Eng. Grace Nzivo said the SDGs week Kenya Edition aims to celebrate the youth participation and leadership, the event inspires to amplify the voices of the young change makers who are driving positive change in their communities and beyond.
“The SDGs week event will happen in urban and rural areas specifically in Kajiado County with an objective to sensitise the youth and women more on the importance of adoption of SDGs in the village levels which promotes and inspires collective action Noted Eng. Grace’’.
The event launch event was officially launched by Director, Nuclear Energy Infrastructure Development (NuPEA) Eng. Erick Ohaga, who reiterated the importance of SDGs in driving the desired change in all sectors. Eng. Ohaga encouraged the youth to embrace innovativeness and tap into technology to drive the desired change for actualisation of SDGs.

The event provides an opportunity for youth to show case diverse innovations for sustainable development in African Eng. Nzivo noted
The SGDs week was attended by youth leaders, Government officials and policy makers, civil society organizations and NGOs (PWDLS) academia and research institutions, private sector and community-based leaders and women led organizations
