GTA 6 is easily the most anticipated video game of this year. And playing the next chapter of the Grand Theft Auto franchise will probably not come cheap. According to reports, Rockstar spent between $1 billion and $2 billion to develop the game. The studio will want to make a handsome sum on its investment. GTA 5 is among the best-selling entertainment products of all time. According to reports, GTA 5 has made more than $8.5 billion so far. Rockstar will expect a similar, if not better, result from the next GTA.

There is some indication that the next Grand Theft Auto could cost players around $100. Most AAA games cost around $60-$70. GTA 6 could push the $100 mark. According to Epyllion CEO and analyst Matthew Ball, “some game-makers hope GTA 6 will be priced at $80 to $100, breaking the $70 barrier and helping $50 titles to move up to $60, $60 to do $70, $70 to $80, etc.“

Will The Game Launch In October?

Earlier this month, the source code for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas leaked online. The leak sparked rumors about when the next GTA will see the light of day. According to Kotaku, GTA 6 will be released on Oct. 28.
