Luka Doncic is still chasing an NBA ring with the Dallas Mavericks, but he’ll be wearing a wedding ring before long after getting engaged to his long-term girlfriend Anamaria Goltes.
Like Doncic, Anamaria Goltes is also Slovenian, hailing from Zagorje ob Savi in the centre of the country.

She has been dating Doncic since 2016, so has been following him throughout his career with Real Madrid and in the NBA, where he has played for the Mavs since being selected with the third overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.
“We met when we were 12 years old at the seaside in Croatia,” Anamaria Goltes has previously revealed.
“And, we still have the same group of friends we had at that time.”
On Friday, Doncic got down on one knee and asked the model to marry him, and she said yes.
The basketball player shared a photo of the moment on Instagram, captioned “7.7”, which is both the date of the engagement and also his jersey number.
Doncic and his new fiance received many congratulatory messages, including from LeBron James.

Anamaria Goltes is 25 years old and describes herself as “a fashion and lifestyle content creator”.
She was a dancer when she was younger and even took part in dancing competitions, but now she devotes her time to being a model, entrepreneur and influencer.
Given that she has been in Dallas as long as her partner has, she has a large following in the Texas city and is very popular, even being described by one fan as “the queen of the NBA”.
