With the recent announcement that Bitwise will launch an XRP ETF, the token is set to carve its own independent identity in Web3 and crypto tokenomics.
With the Bitwise XRP ETF underway, Ripple’s CEO Brad Garlinghouse took to X to share how monumental this announcement truly is in every sense. He shared how the aforementioned announcement is a product of growing trust among people in the current cryptocurrency domain. Garlinghouse further reiterated that the integration of XRP in traditional finance is just the beginning, and the world of crypto has the potential to revolutionize.
“First BTC, then ETH… it was only a matter of time. This move underscores the growing trust and integration of digital assets like XRP into traditional finance, marking the continued adoption and maturation of the crypto market. I sense this is just the beginning.
Ripple’s Institutional Future
XRP’s future has always been solid and quite robustly planned. In one recent interview, Ripple’s global head, Dilip Rao, shared how XRP is made for a higher purpose, which includes playing a pivotal role in sparking institutional interest.
“It’s chicken and egg; you have to create a marketplace. And right now we have 152 global exchanges around the world that trade XRP. A lot of it, as you say, is very shallow trading by individuals, and that is not the use case that we are pursuing. What we are pursuing is the use of XRP as a financial asset by sophisticated institutions as a bridging mechanism. In the last quarter, the bulk of XRP sales were institutional. And as this transitions away from retail to institutions, we’ll start to use it for wholesale, for financial usage.“ – Dilip Rao

Will Ripple’s Coin Ever Be Able To Claim a $10 Price Mark?
With such noteworthy crypto ambitions, XRP is bound to make its momentous price recovery in the near future.
As per CoinCodex, the token may reach the $1 mark by early 2025.
“According to our XRP price prediction, XRP is forecasted to trade within a price range of $0.339439 and $ 1.62568 next year. XRP will increase by 212.61% and reach $1.662568 if it reaches the higher value target for 2025.”
However, for Ripple to reach the $10 mark, the platform shares how it may take a while for the crypto to breach the coveted $10 mark.
“Ripple would need to gain 1,780.72% to reach $10. According to our XRP prediction algorithm, the price of XRP will not reach $10. The highest expected price our algorithm estimates is $5.58 by January 1, 2049.”
