Vodacom Mozambique endured a difficult financial year ending March 2025, with service revenue declining by 12.8%.
This downturn was primarily driven by significant market-wide repricing efforts, which negatively impacted overall revenue. Additionally, post-election tensions disrupted commercial activity, further compounding financial challenges.
Despite these headwinds, the company witnessed encouraging signs of recovery in March 2025, with a notable improvement in commercial momentum. This rebound offers optimism for a more positive performance in FY2026.
Vodacom’s broader international operations delivered a 9.2% year-over-year (YoY) increase in service revenue in Q4 (on a normalized basis), highlighting resilience across key markets.
Looking ahead, Vodacom Mozambique remains focused on enhancing commercial execution and deploying targeted strategies to reignite growth and stability in the upcoming financial year.
