Tusker Oktobafest Thrills Mombasa and Nanyuki, Heads to Kisumu Finale

Tusker Oktobafest continued its nationwide celebration of Kenyan beer, music, and culture over the weekend, lighting up Mombasa and Nanyuki on November 1st.

The festival’s excitement now shifts to the grand finale in Kisumu on November 8th.

Coastal Vibes in Mombasa

In Mombasa, revelers flocked to the New Big Tree in Bamburi for an unforgettable celebration.

The lineup featured Khaligraph Jones, Ndovu Kuu, Tipsy Gee, and Honest Blind Boy, alongside DJs Benitez, Mostwanted, Issa Platinum, DJ Daffy, and MC Gogo.

Attendees enjoyed a lively mix of music, dance, local cuisine, and brand activations, all set against the scenic beach backdrop.

Highlights included Khaligraph Jones’ electric performance and a surprise birthday celebration for MC Gogo.

Highland Energy in Nanyuki

At the same time, Nanyuki came alive at Stingers Lounge, where music fans gathered for their own Oktobafest experience. Artists Toxic Lyrikali, Ayrosh, Wanjine, and Njerae performed alongside DJs Abby, Deewiz, Tibz, Grauchi, Kaneda, and Doubleblack. The event was hosted by Azeezah Hashim and Kibunja.

Even as rain fell, the crowd’s energy never dipped. Njerae’s soulful set and Toxic Lyrikali’s hits drew loud sing-alongs, while DJ Grauchi closed the night with an unforgettable mix.

Building Momentum Toward Kisumu

Following successful editions in Nairobi, Eldoret, Mombasa, and Nanyuki, Tusker continues to strengthen its connection with consumers across Kenya.

“The recent editions in Mombasa and Nanyuki truly captured the vibrant spirit of each community,” said Brigid Wambua, Senior Brand Manager, Tusker. “We’re now incredibly excited to bring this experience to Kisumu for our grand finale.”

The “Lake Edition” will be held at Atella Beach Resort in Kisumu on November 8th. Tickets are available at the venue for KES 1,000, redeemable for a selection of Tusker and KBL beer varieties.

Celebrating Beer, Music, and Culture

Beyond the main festivals, more than 200 on-trade activations are taking place nationwide.

Fans can also enjoy flash sales and discounts on their favorite KBL beers through ke.thebar.com and select online partners.

Launched in 2019, Tusker Oktobafest has grown into East Africa’s largest beer festival, celebrating local culture and talent.

Now in its sixth year, it brings together communities through shared experiences and offers more than ten beer varieties, including Tusker Lager, Guinness, Balozi, Manyatta, and WhiteCap.
