In what is a rather surprising turn for one of the most well-known white-collar criminals in US history, Tucker Carlson has released an interview with Sam Bankman-Fried from prison. Indeed, the Tucker Carlson Show host interviewed the FTX founder in the midst of his 25-year sentence.

Bankman-Fried was sentenced in March of last year for the role he played in the cryptocurrency exchange’s fraudulent activity. Additionally, the former CEO was ordered to pay $11 billion in forfeiture, according to the sentencing release from the US Justice Department.

Tucker Carlson Releases Interview with FTX Founder Sam Bankman-Fried From Prison

2025 has proven to be one of the most important years in the history of the cryptocurrency industry. The Trump administration has already championed the asset class. Not only has it introduced a cryptocurrency reserve, but it is slated to welcome the inaugural White House Crypto Summit this week.

Yet, the industry’s present position was not without some very dark times. Moreover, the fall of FTX was among the blackest marks in its relatively young history. Now, the man behind that catastrophe is once again speaking out. This time, Tucker Carlson has released an interview with Sam Bankman-Fried from prison.

Bankman-Fried was the head of a fraudulent exchange that cost investors more than $3 billion. Subsequently, his conversation with Carlson saw the two discuss everything from the future of crypto to his fellow Metropolitan Detention Center inmate Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

In fact, at one point, Bankman-Fried told Carlson that Combs had “been kind to me.” The two are in the same prison unit, and the FTX founder discussed their interactions. Moreover, he spoke on the fall of the cryptocurrency exchange and the realities of his current situation.

“Obviously, I feel terrible about what happened. It’s not at all what I intended,” Bankman-Fried told Carlson throughout the course of the interview. Moreover, he discussed his expectation that he would be released in his late 40’s if he is not first pardoned.
