Trump’s withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO) following his return is another concern, potentially weakening Africa’s healthcare systems that rely on WHO support for crises like Ebola and COVID-19. Trade relations could also face challenges, with Trump showing little interest in extending the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), which has benefited many of the continent’s nations.
