As the market stabilizes after years of economic uncertainty and supply chain disruptions, the world’s leading smartphone brands are adjusting their strategies to remain competitive.

While consumer preferences shift rapidly and emerging technologies reshape expectations, a brand’s ability to maintain or grow market share is a reflection of more than just marketing muscle. It tells a story of innovation, affordability, global reach, and adaptability.

In Q1 2025, the global smartphone market showed modest recovery, growing just 1% year-on-year, according to the latest Canalys report.

Despite this slow pace, a few brands stood tall, holding their positions through smart product rollouts and resilient market strategies.

At the heart of this performance is how each brand connects with consumers, be it through flagship innovation, mid-range dominance, or aggressive expansion into new territories. For some, this quarter was about regaining lost ground. For others, it was about defending hard-earned positions.
