For many African nations, affordable energy, especially diesel, is essential to their economic stability.

Lower diesel prices in Africa drive economic growth and development in numerous sectors by lowering operating costs for important industries including manufacturing, transportation, and agriculture.

In many African countries, particularly those with difficulty building strong infrastructure to support cleaner and more sustainable energy options, diesel remains the primary energy source.

As a result, having access to less expensive diesel gives people and businesses much-needed stability and financial respite, especially in nations with low pruchasing power.

With that said, here are the 10 African countries according to GlobalPetrolPrices.com, with the lowest diesel prices for November.

This list was last updated on the 18th of November 2024.

The global average price of diesel currently is 1.17 U.S. dollars per liter, compared to 1.19 U.S. dollars per liter recorded the month prior.

With the decrease in diesel global average price, Angola, Tunisia, Ethiopia, and Gabon, all had a slight decline in their diesel prices for November, compared to last month.

Only Nigeria and Ghana experienced prices increases.

Diesel prices for Libya, Algeria Egypt, and Sudan remained the same.
