The 210th KCB Branch In Kenya To Unlocks Kendu Bay Town Economic Growth
KCB Bank Kenya has opened a new branch in Kendu Bay town, marking a significant step in enhancing financial inclusion and local economic growth in the greater Karachunyo Constituency.
This branch, the 210th for the Bank in Kenya, is the first and only bank in the area. It will serve as a lifeline for the town and neighbouring communities, supporting economic activities, including fishing, trade, and farming. By providing access to essential banking services, the Bank aims to empower residents and businesses alike.
The establishment of this new branch is expected to provide vital banking services to the residents, who previously had to travel either to Homa Bay town or Oyugis town, both over 30Kilometres away, said KCB Kenya Managing Director Mrs. Annastacia Kimtai during the formal launch event.
“Kendu Bay is a unique town with a rich cultural heritage and immense potential. This branch is a demonstration of our commitment to fostering a vibrant economic ecosystem in the area. It will unlock opportunities for local businesses to thrive, empowering them to sustainably create jobs and drive economic development,” Mrs Kimtai said.
KCB’s commitment goes beyond traditional banking services, the Bank plans to implement various community engagement initiatives, including entrepreneurship training and financial literacy programs aimed at empowering residents and creating job opportunities.
The expansion to Kendu Bay follows the recent opening of a branch in Mokowe, Lamu County.
These developments reflect the Bank’s ongoing dedication to enhancing access to financial services in underserved regions and fostering economic empowerment across Kenya.
