In a significant boost to digital education, Telecom Namibia has joined forces with the Ministry of Education to provide 21 schools in the Kavango West Region with dependable high-speed internet connectivity. Under the initiative, each school will receive a minimum of 25 Mbps broadband for the next five years, equipping students and teachers with essential digital resources for modern learning.
The announcement was made by CEO Stanley Shanapinda during the ICT Stakeholders’ Engagement held at Simanya River Lodge. He also urged community and regional leaders to safeguard ICT infrastructure, highlighting the persistent issues of theft and vandalism that threaten network reliability.
Through this expansion of rural connectivity, Telecom Namibia continues to advance its mission of narrowing the digital divide and strengthening access to quality education nationwide.
