KES 2 Million Boost for Kenya Rugby

Suzuki by CFAO has committed KES 2 million to support the Kenya Rugby team. Through this sponsorship, the brand becomes the official transport partner for the upcoming HSBC SVNS2 Rugby Sevens Tournament.

The tournament will take place on Saturday, 14 February, and Sunday, 15 February at Nyayo National Stadium.

This partnership aims to strengthen local talent and support the national team. In addition, it reinforces efforts to grow rugby in Kenya and enhance the team’s global competitiveness.

Mobility Support for Team Leadership

As part of the agreement, Suzuki will provide mobility solutions to the KRU Executive Committee. The fleet includes the Suzuki Jimny, Suzuki Fronx, and Suzuki Grand Vitara.

These vehicles will support team officials and administrators in their daily operations. Consequently, the leadership can focus fully on performance and strategic development both on and off the field.

Brand Values Aligned with Rugby Spirit

Speaking during the cheque handover ceremony, Suzuki Brand Manager Juliana Wakwoo highlighted the shared values between the brand and the team.

“Kenya’s rugby journey reflects energy, resilience, and determination. Those qualities mirror our brand identity. Like the players, our vehicles deliver power, reliability, and efficiency. We are proud to stand with the national team as they pursue success in the upcoming tournament,” she said.

KRU Welcomes Strategic Partnership

Kenya Rugby Union Chairperson Harriet Okach welcomed the sponsorship. She described it as a timely and valuable investment in the sport.

“We are honoured to partner with Suzuki. Their commitment aligns with the resilience that defines Kenyan rugby. This collaboration shows our shared belief in rugby’s power to inspire communities and elevate the local sporting scene,” she said.

Driving Rugby Forward

Through this partnership, Suzuki strengthens its support for institutions that push boundaries and pursue excellence. Moreover, the collaboration reflects the brand’s focus on reliability, innovation, and forward momentum.

As the HSBC SVNS2 tournament approaches, both Suzuki and Kenya Rugby aim to deliver strong performances on and off the pitch.
