The Golden State Warriors are starting the 2023/24 NBA season with a fresh perspective, as Jordan Poole has been traded as part of a deal that brought in Chris Paul, who has had intense playoff battles with the Warriors in the past.

Recently, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr shared an interesting take comparing Chris Paul to Reggie Miller, which makes sense to those who have watched both players in action.

The Warriors are hopeful that Paul‘s presence will lead them back to the glory they experienced in the 2021/22 season, a campaign that earned them a spot on the list of the 10 greatest Warriors teams ever.

Kerr mentioned that the Warriors and Chris Paul haven’t always been on good terms, and vice versa. The team had a bit of animosity towards the all-time great point guard, largely because they consistently faced each other in crucial playoff series.

“We’ve all hated him because we were competing, and he was so good,” Kerr said.

“And now that’s our guy, and we love him.”

Fans remind Draymond Green of how much he disliked Chris Paul, bringing up a video from the past

Kerr recounted a particular encounter he had with Paul on the court, explaining what was said and why Paul took offense.

Now, the Warriors and Paul are looking to leverage their combined playoff experience and talent to overcome tough opponents like the defending champion Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Lakers in the upcoming season.
