Drew arrived March 3 and met with President John Dramani Mahama on Wednesday. The talks focused on expanding ties between the two nations for mutual economic and diplomatic benefit.

The agreements signed include a memorandum of understanding establishing a formal political consultation mechanism, a visa-free travel accord for holders of ordinary passports, and a bilateral labor agreement facilitating the recruitment of Ghanaian medical professionals to address healthcare workforce shortages in St. Kitts & Nevis.

Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, received Drew upon arrival and attended the bilateral meeting alongside senior officials from both governments. The visit is part of a broader St. Kitts & Nevis initiative to deepen partnerships with African nations across healthcare, diplomacy, and labor mobility.
