Somalia’s Ministry of Communications and Technology is actively partnering with local telecom operators to improve service quality and foster robust public-private collaboration.

Earlier this month, a National Multi-Stakeholder Consultation, organized in partnership with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), focused on shaping the country’s digital transformation strategy for 2025–2030.

During a high-level meeting in Mogadishu, Minister of Communications and Technology Mohamed Adam Moalim met with senior executives from the telecom sector to discuss recent progress, ongoing challenges, and the long-term vision for a digitally connected Somalia.

Minister Moalim reaffirmed the government’s dedication to advancing digital transformation and building a modern infrastructure capable of delivering reliable and innovative services to the Somali people.

“Our goal is to position Somalia as a regional leader in technology adoption. We are committed to providing digital services that enhance citizens’ lives while empowering local professionals and experts,” Moalim stated.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen collaboration between the government and telecom companies, accelerate Somalia’s digital development, and enhance the nation’s communications and technology ecosystem.
