Danish firm Quadsat and Ukrainian company Skyeton have partnered to deliver electromagnetic spectrum monitoring capabilities.

The collaboration integrates Quadsat’s radio frequency payload and spectrum monitoring technology with Skyeton’s Raybird fixed-wing unmanned aerial system, which has already been fielded in Ukraine.

The integration aims to enhance real-time electromagnetic intelligence, improve situational awareness, and support threat detection in contested environments.

Raybird supports long-duration operations, while Quadsat’s radio frequency tools, commonly used by satellite operators, enable measurement and spectrum monitoring for electromagnetic environment assessments.

“This partnership marks a significant step forward in expanding the capabilities of our Raybird UAS. By integrating Quadsat’s cutting-edge RF technology, we are equipping our platform with an advanced spectrum monitoring tool that is essential for modern operational environments,” stated Pavlo Shevchuk, International CEO of Skyeton.

Skyeton’s Raybird

Raybird can remain airborne for up to 28 hours, covering a distance of 2,500 kilometers (1,550 miles), and reaching an altitude of 4,500 meters (14,760 feet).

The system can carry payloads of up to 5 kilograms (11 pounds), including synthetic aperture radar and laser target designators.

Payloads can be swapped or reconfigured in about one minute to meet different mission requirements.

Raybird features automatic takeoff and landing and is launched using a mechanical catapult, enabling deployment from uneven terrain and under strong wind conditions where vertical takeoff systems are less reliable.

The system can be assembled in under 25 minutes without tools.
