After yet another playoff nightmare, the pressure is on the Dallas Cowboys to fully play to their potential in the 2023 NFL season.
The majority of such pressure falls on the shoulders of their starting quarterback, Dak Prescott, who despite his incredible regular season statistics, is being widely criticized for his inability to get the job done in January.
It seems as though Prescott is feeling such pressure as the Cowboys prepare for the new campaign, with the 30-year-old appearing to struggle on the practice field during training camp.
He is throwing interceptions which are being caught on film and even attracting the attention of television’s more prominent talking heads.
Who has criticized Dak Prescott?
Skip Bayless is not one to hide his true feelings, irrespective of how lacking in common sense they are, and his love for the Dallas Cowboys is clearly causing him a lot of stress this offseason.
He doesn’t believe Prescott is performing to the value of his contract and even had a rather hurtful slam for the QB.
“I shook my head and said, ‘Right now, Dak Prescott is in my Hall of Shame’. He’s so far from Hall of Famer. I mean, Dak Prescott is now two and four in the postseason,” Bayless explained on the ‘Skip Bayless Show’.
“He’s had his moments. He’s made two Pro Bowls. That was his rookie year, when Zeke had a whole lot to do with it, and that was 2018 when the arrival of Amari Cooper had a whole lot to do with it.
“I watched Cooper Rush take over for five games for Dak Prescott and run the offense more efficiently and effectively than Dak ever did. I’ll be real comfortable this year if Cooper Rush is forced to take back over for X number of games, I’ll be real comfortable because he is the real deal.”
