Shiba Inu’s layer-2 solution Shibarium launched on Wednesday, ushering in a new era of utility. Shibarium was the most anticipated development in its ecosystem, and the mainnet finally went through today. “Buckle up SHIB ARMY, Shibarium is officially live and ready to explore,” read the announcement on Twitter.

However, the new beginning started on a backfoot, as SHIB dipped nearly 8% post-release. SHIB is moving in the opposite direction and not upward after Shibarium’s release. The token failed to attract buying pressure and its price is facing a decline.

While this could be temporary, leading cryptocurrency analyst Michael Poppe predicted that Shiba Inu might have a 45% upside swing. According to the prediction, SHIB could delete its fifth zero and comfortably sit at four zeroes in the coming days.

According to Poppe, Shiba Inu could spike 45% from its current price of $0.000009 and reach $0.00001300 levels. He stressed that SHIB could reach there only if it holds on to a few levels and moved upward steadily. If SHIB holds on to its support levels, the dog-themed token could experience a favorable outcome, he forecasted.

“As long as SHIB holds a few levels, it seems very likely we’ll continue towards 1300,” he predicted. That’s an uptick and return on investment (ROI) of approximately 45% from its current price.

At press time, Shiba Inu was trading at $0.00000929 and is down nearly 8% in the 24 hours. SHIB is also down close to 89% from its all-time high of $0.00008616, which it reached in October 2021.
