Over 600 members of the wealth management community filled the Ziegfeld Theater in Midtown Manhattan to attend the 10th annual WealthManagement.com Industry Awards gala, also known as the Wealthies, on Sept. 5.
The black-tie event featured a cocktail reception, three-course dinner and open bar and served to honor the outstanding achievements by companies, organizations and individuals that support financial advisor success.
Ninety-two awards were handed out, representing 84 companies, among 287 finalists. In all, Wealthies judges—an independent panel of industry leaders—received more than 1,000 entries over 400 companies—132 of which participated in the awards process for the first time.
Among the awardees was Mark Tibergien, a long-time executive, consultant, prolific columnist, thought leader and author, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his wisdom, principles and guidance that have helped define the contours of the industry.
A video aired during the event with executives throughout the industry expressing their gratitude to Tibergien for his leadership and mentorship.
Once again, individual awards also were given to up-and-comers at RIA firms.
