Samsung Unveils Galaxy S26 Series: The Most Intuitive Galaxy AI Phone Yet

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has unveiled the Galaxy S26 series. The lineup delivers Samsung’s most intuitive, proactive, and adaptive Galaxy AI experience yet.

The Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra simplify everyday smartphone tasks. From planning and searching to capturing and editing content, the devices reduce the number of steps users take to get things done.

Samsung’s third-generation AI phones handle complex tasks in the background so users can focus on results.

Designed for Intelligent Performance

Samsung built the Galaxy S26 series by combining performance, camera innovation, and Galaxy AI into one seamless system. As a result, users can rely on their devices throughout the day without compromising privacy or security.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra introduces the world’s first built-in Privacy Display on a mobile phone. This breakthrough reinforces Samsung’s commitment to pixel-level privacy.

In addition, the Ultra features a customized chipset and upgraded thermal management system. Together, these upgrades deliver faster and more powerful AI performance in the slimmest Ultra design yet.

“These devices make AI dependable and effortless,” said Evelyn Munene, Head of Product & Marketing, Mobile Experience Division, Samsung Electronics East Africa. “We designed Galaxy S26 to work quietly in the background so people can focus on what matters.”

Powerful Hardware for Everyday Use

Samsung engineered the Galaxy S26 series for all-day performance. The lineup runs on the most powerful hardware ever featured in a Galaxy S device.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra uses the Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy. This customized processor delivers major improvements across CPU, GPU, and NPU performance.

CPU performance improves by up to 19%, allowing the device to handle demanding tasks more efficiently. Meanwhile, NPU performance increases by 39%, enabling smoother always-on AI features. GPU performance rises by 24%, which enhances gaming and visual experiences.

To maintain this performance, Samsung redesigned the Vapor Chamber cooling system. The new thermal interface material spreads heat across a wider surface area. Consequently, the device stays cooler during gaming, multitasking, and video recording.

The Ultra also supports Super Fast Charging 3.0. It reaches up to 75% charge in just 30 minutes, reducing downtime significantly.

Samsung further enhances visuals with ProScaler, which sharpens fine details and improves image clarity. Additionally, the upgraded mobile Digital Natural Image engine (mDNIe) produces more natural colors with four times the precision of the previous generation.

Together, these upgrades ensure smooth, reliable performance throughout the day.

Industry-Leading Camera Innovation

Samsung continues to lead with its integrated camera system. The Galaxy S26 series combines capture, editing, and sharing into a seamless workflow.

On the Galaxy S26 Ultra, wider camera apertures allow more light to reach the sensor. As a result, users capture clearer images with richer detail, even in low light.

Enhanced Nightography Video improves clarity in dim environments. Users can record concerts, indoor events, or evening moments with better brightness and color accuracy.

Samsung also upgraded Super Steady with a horizontal lock option. This feature stabilizes footage during movement and ensures consistent framing.

Furthermore, the Galaxy S26 Ultra becomes the first Galaxy device to support APV, a professional-grade video codec. APV delivers efficient compression while maintaining high visual quality, even after repeated edits.
