Safaricom Unveils Four More Millionaires in Shangwe @25 Promotion
New Winners Join Growing List

Safaricom has announced four new millionaires in the ongoing Shangwe @25 promotion, bringing the total number of winners to five in just two weeks.

The latest winners are Josephine Waswa from Bungoma, Bernice Mumo from Makueni, Abdi Dahir from Garissa, and Josephat Mwilaria from Athi River.

They join 20-year-old Yvonne Wanjiku Kangara from Kiambu County, who became the first winner.

Each of the five will receive one million shillings and an additional two hundred and fifty thousand shillings to fund a community project of their choice.

Life Changing Wins for Everyday Kenyans

During the award ceremony in Bungoma, sugarcane farmer Josephine Waswa said she was still trying to believe that a nineteen-shilling airtime purchase had turned her into a millionaire.

She plans to expand her farming business and buy land. For her community project, she will provide desks for Kasosi Primary School to ease classroom congestion.

In Makueni, twenty-six-year-old Bernice Mumo won after buying airtime and paying for Wi Fi through M-Pesa.

She plans to support Mwalano Dispensary by building and equipping a laboratory to reduce the long distances residents walk for diagnostic services.

In Garissa, twenty-five-year-old Abdi Dahir, a turn boy and the main provider for his family, said the win felt like a huge relief. He plans to build a house for his mother and support Sangailu Primary School with desks and water tanks.

Businessman Josephat Mwilaria from Athi River initially doubted the news due to past experiences with fraud.

After confirming the win at a Safaricom shop, he said he would reinvest in his business and support Pillars of Hope Children’s Home with food donations and school fees.

Rewards Continue Across the Country

Since launch, Shangwe @25 has been rewarding thousands of customers daily and weekly with cash prizes, devices, data bundles, and business support tools.

More than eight hundred customers win ten thousand, fifty thousand, or one hundred thousand shillings each week.

Over fifty thousand people win rewards weekly, and more than five million customers are expected to benefit during the promotion.

Customers can join the promotion by transacting on M PESA, sending money, paying with M PESA, redeeming Bonga Points, or purchasing Safaricom bundles, digital services or Home Fibre.

Merchants and M PESA agents also qualify through Buy Goods, Pochi la Biashara and eligible transactions above one thousand shillings.

Lastly, to access M PESA services, customers can dial *334#.
