Safaricom Partners with Quickmart to Accelerate 4G & 5G Home Internet Access
Safaricom has partnered with leading retailer Quickmart to expand the reach of its 4G and 5G For Home internet solutions. The partnership brings these services closer to customers and improves convenience for households in need of fast, reliable connectivity.

To make the experience even easier, Safaricom has introduced a self-service router activation process. After purchase, customers simply scan a QR code to register their SIM card and activate their account. They can then choose a data package and begin using the internet right away.

“This partnership will ensure more Kenyans can access reliable home internet with ease,” said Fawzia Ali, Chief Consumer Business Officer at Safaricom. “It reinforces our promise of seamless connectivity and great value.”

Quickmart operates 61 outlets across the country. This wide network will allow customers to find routers in stores near them, making high-speed internet more accessible than ever.

Wider Coverage, Faster Speeds as Demand Grows

In addition to Quickmart, the 4G and 5G routers are available at Safaricom Retail Shops, authorized dealers, and online via Masoko.co.ke. Each router retails at KES 2,999. Safaricom also plans to partner with more retailers to expand distribution further.

Currently, Safaricom’s 4G network covers over 97% of Kenya’s population. Moreover, its 5G network has now reached all 47 counties. This ensures customers can enjoy stable internet access even in areas without fibre connections.

To support growing demand, Safaricom has increased the capacity of its fibre network. It has also upgraded Home Fibre speeds at no extra cost. Additionally, the company is conducting home service clinics across the country to help customers get the most from their service.

These developments come as Safaricom gears up to celebrate 25 years of operations. By investing in innovation and expanding partnerships, the company continues to deliver value while connecting more homes across Kenya.
