A distinguished real estate and hospitality company, AIBEN Investment and Properties Limited, has proudly launched its opulent new establishment, the Bourdillon Hotel, situated in the vibrant Gwarinpa district of Abuja, with a commitment to revolutionize the city’s hospitality and tourism offering.
During the grand unveiling of this magnificent structure, Chief Executive Officer of AIBEN Group, Chief Andrew Elerewa, expressed that this multi-billion-naira endeavor is a visionary ambition realized, representing the firm’s faith in Nigeria’s immense tourism prospects. He articulated how the initiative illustrates the company’s unwavering confidence in the profitability of Nigeria’s tourism sector, an industry he characterized as the frontier of the future, poised for significant revenue generation with appropriate support.
“I am overwhelmed with joy, brimming with excitement, and profoundly gratified. Experiencing the journey of construction and ultimately witnessing its manifestation is a heartfelt blessing from God. Various challenges emerged along the path, but we are thrilled to finally present a venue dedicated to serving the community, delivering exceptional services to the Gwarinpa area, and, in a wider context, contributing to our nation’s advancement.
The Nigerian tourism sphere harbors an abundance of potential, and initiatives like this are crucial for establishing the infrastructure that will harness that promise. We have complete faith that this industry has matured, and developments such as ours will significantly enhance government revenue and boost our Gross Domestic Product (GDP),” he remarked.
Elerewa encouraged the government to maintain a supportive atmosphere for investors, emphasizing that the private sector plays a pivotal role in the industry’s growth.
He highlighted that this remarkable facility has already spawned job opportunities and will persist in generating revenue for the government through taxation and other avenues.
He further noted: “The government’s role involves creating the right conditions, while investors supply the capital needed to construct infrastructure that can fortify the sector.
“Whether we acknowledge it or not, tourism is a lucrative enterprise, and Nigeria must start embracing this truth. Numerous countries lacking natural resources flourish financially purely through tourism.”
“One must first have faith in their nation. This venture has already led to substantial job creation. We have successfully completed three similar projects, each contributing hundreds of jobs. The government also gains from taxes, further driving economic growth.”
Elerewa, underscoring the significance of taxes in business, urged entrepreneurs to operate within the confines of legality and leverage available government incentives.
“Taxes are an integral part of commerce. As a legitimate business proprietor, evading this responsibility is unwise. The government has also instituted incentives that lessen the tax burden on investors. If you remain on the proper path, adhere to ethical practices, and evolve alongside the system, it will ultimately yield benefits for all,” he remarked.
Speaking at the event, Project Manager of Bourdillon Hotel, Ajayi Simeon, revealed that the hotel was envisioned to establish a groundbreaking benchmark in luxury and service.
He elaborated that the facility was designed with the aim of crafting something refined, exceptional, and distinct from existing options.
“We set our standards against the finest, and what we offer here can compete anywhere in the globe. We also prioritize our team members by compensating above the minimum wage, as we believe true excellence should be rewarded,” he declared.
