Strengthening Partnerships Across Southern Africa

Raff Military Textile, one of Türkiye’s leading defence industry companies, is launching a new strategic tour across Africa this month. As part of a high-level delegation coordinated by Türkiye’s Ministry of Trade and the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), the company will visit Mozambique, South Africa, and Zambia, reinforcing Türkiye’s growing presence in the region’s defence markets.

The multi-country visit will kick off in Maputo, Mozambique, from 18-22 June, followed by Johannesburg, South Africa (22-23 June), and conclude in Lusaka, Zambia, between 23-27 June.

Mozambique at the Forefront

Mozambique will be a key focus of the visit. The country’s rising security needs and growing defence investments make it one of the most attractive markets in the region for Turkish defence solutions. With a 2024 defence budget of approximately $450 million USD, Mozambique is positioning itself as a regional security leader.

Raff Military Textile, which has already established strong ties across 45 African countries, is aiming to build long-term partnerships and sustainable cooperation models in Mozambique. The company will participate in B2B meetings and high-level engagements in Maputo, with a particular emphasis on technology transfer and local collaboration. For detailed updates on these strategic meetings, follow our LinkedIn coverage of the delegation’s progress.

“Mozambique is an extremely critical market for us. We aim to transform the experience we have gained across Africa into strong and lasting partnerships here. We are not coming just to sell products, but to establish sustainable business models with local partners and foster deeper collaborations, such as technology transfer,” said Eray Yükseloğlu, CEO of Raff Military Textile.

Expanding Reach in Southern Africa

Following its strategic engagements in Mozambique, Raff Military Textile will continue its Africa tour in South Africa and Zambia. The company has been actively sharing insights from its African operations and announcing key developments on Twitter, keeping stakeholders informed about its expanding continental presence.

South Africa, one of the continent’s largest and most developed defence markets, presents significant opportunities for joint ventures and advanced defence collaborations. Raff Military Textile aims to expand its presence in the country by positioning itself as a trusted partner to both public and private sector defence players.

In Zambia, the company will explore partnerships that align with the country’s efforts to modernise its security forces and build sustainable defence capabilities.

Türkiye’s Growing Defence Footprint in Africa

The tour reflects Türkiye’s broader strategy to expand its defence industry partnerships across the continent. Turkish defence solutions, known for their cost-effectiveness, technological innovation, and adaptability to local needs, are becoming increasingly popular across Africa. Visual highlights from the company’s African engagements and product showcases can be viewed on Raff Military Textile’s Instagram, where the company regularly features its innovative defence solutions.

By offering military uniforms, tactical equipment, and a wide range of defence solutions, Raff Military Textile continues to play a pivotal role in advancing Türkiye’s defence diplomacy and economic ties with African nations.

A New Chapter for Raff Military Textile in Africa

As Raff Military Textile embarks on this new Africa tour, the company is committed to building lasting partnerships based on trust, mutual benefit, and strategic cooperation. With Mozambique at the forefront and new opportunities emerging in South Africa and Zambia, the company’s latest initiative is set to further strengthen Türkiye’s role as a key player in Africa’s defence sector.
