A team from the Turkish company Raff Military Textile, led by CEO Eray Yükseloğlu, is finishing a successful tour of Africa. After holding positive meetings in Mozambique and Zambia, the team is now in Cameroon to build strong new partnerships in the continent’s defence industry.

The long journey included meetings in Mozambique and Zambia from the 18th to the 27th of June 2025. The team is now in Cameroon for the final part of the tour, with high-level talks taking place from the 1st to the 10th of July.

Speaking from Cameroon, company sources said the trip has been very positive. The team has been impressed by the stability and business opportunities in all the countries they have visited.

Impressions from Mozambique and Zambia

The first part of the tour focused on Southern Africa. In Mozambique, the team noted the country’s position on the Indian Ocean makes it a great gateway for trade. The capital, Maputo, is a busy port city with over 1.5 million people and a stable base for business.

In Zambia, a country in the heart of Southern Africa, the team saw great commercial strength. Its capital, Lusaka, is a fast-growing city of over 2 million people and a key hub for regional finance and trade. Mr. Yükseloğlu said his meetings with defence leaders in both countries were very successful and have opened the way for future teamwork.

Final Stop: The Potential of Cameroon

The final part of the tour in Cameroon has confirmed the company’s positive view. Known as “Africa in miniature” for its rich mix of landscapes and cultures, Cameroon is in a key location linking West and Central Africa. The team has been meeting with important figures in Cameroon’s defence sector to explore new partnerships, with talks held in both the country’s main port city, Douala, and its political capital, Yaoundé, between the 1st and 10th of July. The country’s dynamic environment and the opportunities it presents have been a major highlight of the trip.

A Personal View from the CEO

Raff Military Textile’s CEO, Eray Yükseloğlu, said he was very impressed by the countries on the tour.

“This was more than a business trip; it was an eye-opening experience,” Mr. Yükseloğlu said. “We were impressed by the excellent business environment in Mozambique, Zambia, and now Cameroon. These are stable countries with great natural and commercial advantages. The potential for growth here is remarkable.“

We were captured by the opportunities and the warm welcome we received. We feel sure that this is just the start of a long and successful relationship.“

This tour is an important step for Raff Military Textile and shows its strong commitment to building lasting partnerships with these African nations.
