The US Department of Defense has awarded Oshkosh Defense multiple contracts to provide an array of military trucks for the US Army.

The deals, worth approximately $214.8 million, encompass systems made for combat support and logistics across the battlefield.

Selected vehicles are American-made and have already been distributed to the US armed forces in previous projects.

M1093 and M1081

The first deal will see the Wisconsin-based company deliver its M1093 and M1081 vehicles, which are designed as Low Velocity Air Drop systems, enabling them to be transported via aircraft such as the C-17 Globemaster III and C-130 Hercules, and parachute-dropped in mid-air.

The contract is valued at $133 million and is expected to be completed by September 2027.

Family of Medium Trucks

Another transaction calls for the supply of Oshkosh’s Family of Medium Trucks developed for moving soldiers, ammunition, goods, smaller vehicles, weapon systems, and engineering equipment.

About $43.6 million was allocated for this contract. It has an expected completion date of December 2026.

The third agreement, costing $23.3 million, is a modification to a previously awarded deal to distribute Oshkosh’s Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles for the US Army.

The project it followed, worth $1.54 billion, covers the provision of new and recapitalized heavy tactical hulls as well as their associated trailers until 2031.

Second Batch of Medium Trucks

The final contract will deliver a separate tranche of the Family of Medium Trucks for the military.

The Pentagon invested $14.8 million in this package. Supply is expected to run until August 2026.
