Patrick Mahomes is considered by many to be the top quarterback currently playing in the NFL.

The 27-year-old has backed that up with his play on the field, having already made it to three Super Bowls while winning two of them.

As a result, fans and pundits wonder whether Mahomes will ever catch or surpass the quarterback widely considered to be the greatest of all-time: Tom Brady.

The former New England and Tampa Bay star won an incredible seven Super Bowls during his career. Although Mahomes still has some work to do to catch Brady, the Kansas City star is up to the challenge.

“Seven’s a lot, but I’ll strive to get as close as I can,” Mahomes said as per Peter King. “To win seven Super Bowls and be in 10 Super Bowls, it’s crazy to even think about, even for me today.

“The other stats kinda come with it. I knew at Texas Tech, I put up a lot of stats but didn’t win games. When I got to the NFL, I knew I wanted to be a winner [first]. Try to win Super Bowls and give my team the best that I can.”

Patrick Mahomes invents the impossible pass that leaves everyone stunned: Will he try it in a game?

Can Mahomes overtake Brady?

Considering how hard it is to get to the Super Bowl, Mahomes will have his work cut out for him if he is to catch Brady.

However, if there is one quarterback with a great chance of doing so, it’s the Kansas City star.

With two Super Bowl wins before his rookie contract expired, Mahomes can give Brady a run for his money as long as he remains healthy and consistent.
