Safaricom powered the experience with its 5G network, giving participants firsthand exposure to lightning-fast speeds and low latency. This ensured smooth gameplay and seamless online interactions, both crucial for competitive gaming.

One of the major highlights was the Local Area Network (LAN) Party—an all-night gaming marathon. Participants brought their own PCs and consoles, connecting to blazing-fast networks for nonstop battles. The marathon featured genres from shooters to strategy and sports titles, creating an electrifying environment fueled by competition and camaraderie.

For many, the convention symbolized how far Kenya’s gaming industry has come. “I started gaming 20 years ago, and seeing how the community has grown is incredible,” said veteran gamer Murray Lidambiza. “Reliable internet is at the heart of gaming, and Safaricom has been instrumental in making this possible.”
