Oshkosh Defense has received a $40-million contract to provide a Remotely Operated Ground Unit for Expeditionary Fires (ROGUE Fires) for the US Marine Corps.

ROGUE Fires is a scalable unmanned ground vehicle supporting the deployment of ground-based anti-ship missiles.

The platform’s design is based on Oshkosh’s proprietary Joint Light Tactical Vehicle to sustain payload capacity and maneuverability for launch operations.

Users can control the ROGUE Fires through remote solutions or leader/follower modules.

Work for the contract will be conducted in Virginia, Maryland, and Wisconsin and is scheduled to be completed in December 2026.

Once delivered, the carrier will be integrated into the Navy/Marine Expeditionary Ship Interdiction System, a shore-based capability developed to neutralize enemy surface vessels.

“Today’s award underscores the continued success of the ROGUE-Fires program and Oshkosh’s unwavering commitment to working hand in hand with the Marine Corps, understanding their mission requirements, and equipping our Marines with unparalleled warfighting capabilities,” Oshkosh Defense Chief Programs Officer Pat Williams remarked.

“The versatile ROGUE-Fires platform we are displaying at Modern Day Marine for the first time, harnesses cutting-edge technologies and facilitates seamless integration of a multitude of weapon systems.”

“This platform will fulfill diverse mission needs for many years to come.”

Recent Contracts

Oshkosh’s latest agreement follows a similar contract in October 2023 to supply additional ROGUE Fires for the Marine Corps Systems Command.

A year earlier, the company signed another contract to deliver the carrier to the US Marine Corps’ Expeditionary Ship Interdiction System.
