Orange Tunisie announced the launch of satellite broadband services in Tunisia through a previously established partnership with Eutelsat, delivering connection speeds of up to 100 Mbps.

The new Orange Satellite service provides coverage across the entire country, with a particular focus on remote and underserved areas where terrestrial telecom infrastructure is limited or unavailable, ensuring reliable connectivity in hard-to-reach locations.

The operator noted that the service is available through two packages, including one specifically designed for professionals operating in isolated regions.

According to the company, the service relies on Eutelsat’s latest-generation KONNECT satellite, which offers improved performance compared to earlier systems, including increased bandwidth, enhanced signal stability, and significantly higher data throughput.

The launch follows a multi-year partnership agreement signed in 2024 between Orange Middle East and Africa and Eutelsat to leverage the KONNECT satellite for delivering reliable and accessible broadband connectivity across the region. The initial rollout targeted Jordan, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with plans to expand to additional markets where Orange operates.

In June 2025, Orange also signed an agreement with Eutelsat Group to leverage the OneWeb low-Earth orbit satellite constellation to deliver LEO connectivity services to enterprise and government customers worldwide, particularly across Africa and the Middle East.

Beyond the countries mentioned, Orange operates mobile networks in several markets including Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Egypt, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Liberia, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritius, Morocco, the Central African Republic, Senegal, and Sierra Leone.
