Orange – ZTE OSG & Charging User Group, a key sub-forum of the Orange – ZTE Summit 2025, concluded successfully in Senegal. In response to a request from, and in cooperation with Orange, during the event, ZTE released its OSG evolution strategy, featuring API architecture transformation and AI integration via the OSD platform to deliver enhanced voice service experiences.

As a long-term strategic partner of Orange, ZTE has delivered OSG & Charging (OCS/CCS) solutions across 14 Orange affiliates over the past two decades, supporting continuous evolution in network architecture—from bare metal to IaaS and CaaS—and platform modernization from traditional IN to OSG, achieving excellence in time-to-market, openness, user experience, and energy efficiency.

At the opening session, Mr. Zhang Guanzhen, Sonatel’s CTO and General Manager of ZTE OMEA Account Office, delivered a speech. ZTE executives, including Mr.Cai Jiannan , Vice President of Wireless and Computing Network R&D Institute and Mr.Yang Yang General Manager from the MTO, held in-depth discussions with Orange Group Skill Centre and affiliate representatives, carefully listening to customer needs and driving the implementation of key projects.

During the two-day meeting, representatives from the Orange Group and affiliates engaged in constructive discussions on product satisfaction, network performance, future requirements, and improvement areas. Eight affiliates shared operational experiences, providing positive feedback and high appreciation for ZTE’s product performance, delivery quality, and customer responsiveness.

Amid ongoing network evolution and the growing integration of AI and IT into daily life, user experience demands continue to shift. In response, ZTE has introduced its OSG evolution strategy, designed to align with Orange’s goals and deliver more agile and diverse service experiences:

  • Support Group strategies such as CI/CD and OTC as well as Voice APIsation;
  • Introduce AI-powered services like Voice Consultation Line and AI-enhanced USSD to upgrade traditional voice services;
  • Enrich voice APIs in full alignment with GSMA Open Gateway standards and the Orange Camara project for network monetization;
  • Enable third-party service development and seamless AI integration through ZTE’s pipeline-based OSD platform.

ZTE’s strategic initiatives highlight its dedication to technological evolution and ecosystem collaboration, delivering more agile and intelligent services for Orange. The following insights were shared by Orange.

Mr. Mariusz Brodowski, Lead of Orange Group OSG Skill Center: The meeting organized by Orange Innovation Poland Skill Centres, with strong support from ZTE and WhaleCloud, fostered alignment on CCS and OSG evolution, shared project experiences from eight affiliates, and explored emerging trends such as AI-driven innovation and monetization. It successfully strengthened collaboration, promoted knowledge exchange, and reinforced long-term partnerships for future growth and excellence.

Mr. Siam Mauceny, Orange MEA/DOP/NTIS, IN/VAS Billing and Cross-Functional Projects Support Responsible: This User Group strengthened strategic alignment and collaboration with ZTE, emphasizing shared progress on CCS/OSG evolution, API transformation, and AI integration. While recognizing ZTE’s strong partnership commitment, OMEA called for deeper engagement in next-generation OSG design, CI/CD implementation, Active/Active redundancy, and faster time-to-market delivery. OMEA encourages ZTE to continue to deliver an advanced, reliable, and future-ready digital service platforms across the region.
