Orange Announces Yasser Shaker as CEO of Orange MEA and Chairman of Orange Egypt

The Orange Group has officially announced the appointment of Eng. Yasser Shaker, currently CEO of Orange Egypt, as Executive Vice President and CEO of Orange Middle East and Africa, effective July 1, 2025. In agreement with the Board of Directors of Orange MEA, Eng. Shaker will also join the Group’s Executive Committee.

In addition to his new regional role, Eng. Shaker has also been appointed Chairman of Orange Egypt, effective August 1, 2025.

Latest Financials: Orange Reports Strong 2024 Results, Driven by Growth in Africa & Middle East

During his tenure as CEO of Orange Egypt, Eng. Shaker led the company through a period of significant transformation, reviving growth, restoring profitability, and strengthening Orange’s market position in Egypt’s highly competitive telecom sector.

Orange Middle East and Africa, which includes operations in 18 countries, is one of the Group’s most dynamic regions and a major growth engine.

This leadership transition marks a strategic move that reflects Orange’s confidence in Shaker’s 28 years of industry experience and his exceptional leadership journey.
