In what is a major development for the sector and the company, Nvidia (NVDA) is set to manufacture AI supercomputers in the US for the very first time. Indeed, the AI chipmaker announced the move in a blog post Monday, noting that it is already working on building United States factories.

The company had been one of the biggest stock winners of the last year, jumping 174% over the course of 2024. Moreover, its value to the development of artificial intelligence is undeniable. Now, it is set to bring much of that development to the United States.

Nvidia Reshapes US Production With American-Made Supercomputers

There are few companies that have made the kind of waves that Nvidia has in recent years. Although things took a notable step back in 2025, it was mainly due to macroeconomic pressures. The company is still strong, but its stock is still down more than 19% over the last six months.

A big part of its decline has been the arrival of US President Donald Trump’s Liberation Day tariff plan. However, it has made a major move to lessen its exposure to these kinds of policies. Indeed, Nvidia announced it will manufacture the supercomputers in the US for the very first time.

According to a recent post, the tech firm has “commissioned more than a million square feet of manufacturing space to build and test Nvidia Blackwell chips in Arizona and AI supercomputers in Texas.” Additionally, they confirmed chip production has already started at TSMC plants in Phoenix. Meanwhile, supercomputer manufacturing plants are in development in Houston and Dallas.

Moreover, they revealed that mass production from both plants will take place in the next 12-15 months. The move aligns with its decision to produce up to half a trillion dollars of AI infrastructure through the United States, the firm stated. Altogether, it could continue to reshape the United States’ position in the global AI tech race.
