Nigeria is making a major stride in digital connectivity by adopting the 6GHz band for Wi-Fi 6 applications. Dr. Aminu Maida, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), announced this during a recent Stakeholders’ Consultative Forum on Emerging Technologies.
This move is expected to boost internet speed and reliability nationwide, bringing Nigeria in line with global telecom advancements. Wi-Fi 6, renowned for managing multiple devices and delivering faster data rates, is increasingly essential in today’s digital world, where high-speed internet is crucial for both personal and professional use.
