The new-generation T7 tractor is the future of farming.
With its sleek lines and appealing curves, let’s welcome the new three-model T7 long wheelbase range.
The head-turning styling features new ‘cat-eye’ lights, aggressive fish gill-like side vents, and a gull wing profile roof jam-packed with up to 16 LED cab lights, including automotive style signature lights for true round-the-clock farming.
The Tier 3 NEF engines are fully compliant for the South African market and develop between 180hp and 220hp (CV) or 132Kw to 162kW, whilst maintaining the outstanding fuel economy you’ve come to expect of the T7 range. The new suspended cab with more visibility makes day-long farming even more comfortable.
Other specifications like hydraulic oil flow and lift capacity have been increased and now you have a four-speed power take-off (PTO).
Telematics are standard with automatic guidance and various satellite signal options. The three models in the series are the T7.230 (132kW), T7.245 (147kW), and T7.260 (162kW). All three units can be equipped with the 18×6 Power Command™ Full Power Shift transmission, or the Auto Command™ Continuously Variable Transmission.
Electronic hydraulic valves come standard. Various other options, such as the front lift with PTO, can be selected depending on the farmer’s needs.
Gradual changes
New Holland’s T6000 tractor series is not new, but there have been changes and/or upgrades made over time, which brings us to where we are today. The series consists of three levels of technology, namely DELTA, PLUS and CLASSIC, and ranges from 82kW to 121kW.
The DELTA series (82kW and 93kW) is the economical series and is available with the Rollover Protective Structure or cab. This series now has a 16×16 Electro Command gearbox. Shifting between gears is made easier by not requiring the push of the clutch pedal, this feature leading to much less fatigue for the operator. It also goes a long way towards saving on maintenance costs.
The PLUS series consists of the T6070 (104kW) cab tractor and has the same gearbox as the DELTA series. Here, however, there is the closed-centre hydraulic system of 113 litres per minute with three full hydraulic couplings.
The CLASSIC series (104kW and 121kW) is the high-specification series with the common rail engine that is equipped with the ‘boosted’ function in certain applications.
The 18×6 Power Command full power shift gearbox offers excellent performance and comfort for the operator.
The same hydraulic system as the PLUS series does its job here too.
Two standard tyre options are available, namely 650/65R38 rear and 540/65R28 front, or the Row Crop tyres of 580/70R42 rear and 480/70R30 front.
A full guidance system is already equipped and all you need is the chosen precision signal to perform all your actions.
Other options
Several other options are also available, like the front three-point hitch with hydraulics and PTO. All models also come with premium tyres. The cabs are spacious and offer excellent visibility.
You also have full access to the FieldOps portal where you can integrate and store your farm and fleet data, and it’s free!
The three-year/3 000 hour Service Plus warranty is standard and can be extended up to as much as six years.
CNH Capital financing also offers various interest rate subsidy plans which you can access at newhollandag.co.za.
