Dwight Howard is being sued by one of his neighbors in Georgia after she reportedly ran into one of his cows outside his Georgia farm.

According to RadarOnline.com, the alleged incident took place back on March 10, 2020. That’s when former NBA star Howard‘s neighbor, Teresa Nickerson, was driving her car near Howard’s farm.

However, while driving one day, she collided with a cow owned by Howard, who had “permitted his livestock (cows) to run at large on or to stray upon the public roads of this state and other property.”

Howard’s property

Howard bought the 700-acre farm back in 2017. Several animals, including cows, live on the property, which is located close to a separate compound that Howard also owns.

The suit claims Howard was negligent as he failed to keep the animals on his property and off public roads.

“This collision occurred because of the negligence of Dwight David Howard, II in failing to keep his livestock contained to his farm and off the public highways of the State of Georgia,” the suit reads.

Nickerson claims she was seriously hurt in the collision and required $2,418.66 worth of medical bills.

“This collision occurred because of the negligence of Dwight David Howard, II in failing to keep his livestock contained to his farm and off the public highways of the State of Georgia,” claims her lawyer.

The neighbor also claims that Howard caused unnecessary risk to other as a result of repeatedly allowing his livestock to roam away from his farm.

“Livestock belonging to Dwight David Howard, II has repeatedly escaped the enclosures on his Oglethorpe County farm,” the neighbor claimed.

“Despite knowing livestock such as cattle will stray if not properly fenced, watered and fed, Dwight David Howard, II has repeatedly allowed his livestock to stray from the Oglethorpe County farm, including on March 10, 2020,” the suit reads.

Howard claims he doesn’t personally own the farm, stating that it was purchased through an LLC named 2989 Holdings. As a result, he believes the case should be brought against the company and not him.
