Speaking during the ceremony, Group Director of Retail Banking, Dennis Njau, congratulated the graduates and assured them of continued support from the bank.
“When entrepreneurs grow, the country grows. This programme gives our customers the skills, confidence, and partnerships they need to move their businesses forward,” said Njau.

A Programme Focused on Practical Learning
The Enterprise Development Programme is a key part of NCBA’s SME strategy. It helps business owners strengthen leadership, build resilience, and sharpen business strategy.
The course runs for 16 weeks and combines class learning with practical coaching.
Participants study financial management, operations, marketing, innovation, leadership, and digital transformation.
They also gain from networking, peer learning, and real market insights. So far, more than 300 NCBA customers have benefited from the programme.
Strong Partnerships to Increase SME Financing
Njau highlighted NCBA’s partnerships with Africa Guarantee Fund, AFAWA, Water.Org and Proparco. These collaborations reduce lending risks and help SMEs access more affordable credit.
They also support women-led businesses, climate-focused investments and water and sanitation projects. This strengthens NCBA’s ability to finance SMEs ready to scale.
