NCBA hosted over 100 women entrepreneurs in Kapsabet for an empowerment dinner, reinforcing its commitment to financial inclusion and business growth.
Strengthening Women-Led Enterprises
The exclusive dinner at Allen Hotel, Nandi County, brought together customers, county leaders, and industry stakeholders. The event focused on financial inclusion for women-led enterprises and strengthening key business relationships.
Agriculture drives Nandi County’s economy, with tea, maize, and dairy farming as key sectors. The county’s revenue grew by 12.5%, rising from KSH 356.1 million in FY 2022/2023 to KSH 600.2 million in FY 2023/2024. Improved revenue collection systems, automation, and trade expansion contributed to this growth.

Panellists highlighted trade finance, asset funding, and financing opportunities that support business growth. The session also emphasized agribusiness opportunities, including cooperatives, dairy groups, and farming enterprises.
Deputy Governor of Nandi County, Dr. Yulita Chebotip Mitei, appreciated NCBA’s support for women entrepreneurs.
“We are grateful to NCBA for organizing this forum. Women-led businesses are vital to our county’s economic growth. We seek partnerships that address their unique needs and unlock new opportunities,” she said.
