In Nakuru, a new generation of education leaders is reimagining what tomorrow’s classrooms can be.

During the Nakuru Private Schools Association SME Forum, NCBA https://ke.ncbagroup.com/ engaged with visionary educators who are not only shaping young minds but also transforming their schools into thriving enterprises.

The forum sparked meaningful conversations about how schools can stay ahead in an increasingly digital, AI-driven world. As NCBA continues to innovate, the focus remains clear: to ensure financial solutions evolve as quickly as customers’ needs.

“Education shapes Kenya’s future, and NCBA is committed to being the leading financial partner for schools. From financing infrastructure to digital solutions, we’re helping schools move beyond theory into sustainable, thriving enterprises,” said Robert Kiboti, NCBA’s Regional Manager.

From classrooms to administration offices, NCBA is making progress, both affordable and sustainable.

“With 100% financing, structured step-down payments, and easy system upgrades, we’re turning big investments into manageable growth journeys,” added Ruth Njuguna, NCBA’s Asset Finance Manager.

Through NCBA Leasing, schools and learning institutions can now access essential equipment, from solar hybrid systems and water pumps to IT infrastructure and digital learning devices, without the burden of full purchase costs.

Innovation also took center stage at the event. Feion Green Ventures Ltd showcased the Jiko-Kul Electric Pressure Cooker, a clean-energy innovation that enables schools to cook more efficiently while reducing firewood use.

Together with partners like Feion, NCBA is helping shape a more sustainable future.

Driving Digital Transformation in School Management

For schools looking to simplify operations, NCBA’s SOMA Plus platform is redefining school management. The digital solution makes fee payments seamless, secure, and stress-free, allowing schools to go cashless while maintaining full control.

“Through Soma Plus and Connect Plus, we’re integrating technology to help schools automate, integrate, and manage their finance operations seamlessly,” shared Nicholas Kiprono, Head of Cash Management Sales & Transaction Banking.

The conversation also touched on the importance of protecting what matters most.

“Every thriving institution must protect its people and infrastructure. Our Bancassurance solutions help schools transfer risk and secure the future they’re building,” noted Samson Okello, Head of Retail Life Assurance, NCBA Bancassurance.

Financing Growth, Protecting Futures

Additionally, NCBA continues to champion the growth of small and medium-sized educational institutions through flexible and innovative products.

“We’re empowering schools through unsecured SME loans of up to KES 6 million, our WASH Loans in partnership with Water.org, and programs like the China Business Trip, which open global exposure and opportunity,” said Susan Ndung’u, Head of SME Banking.

What began in Ruaka, grew in Naivasha, and now blossoms in Nakuru, NCBA’s partnership journey with private schools underscores its commitment to purpose and progress.

With every new collaboration, the bank is helping schools become more sustainable, more innovative, and more future-ready.
