While the 2023/24 NBA season is scheduled to tip off on October 24, teams are actively engaged in their efforts to complete their rosters for the upcoming pre-season duels.

However, despite ongoing negotiations by executives, the past week saw limited confirmed activity within the market.

Who signed last week with a new NBA team?

In fact, the Charlotte Hornets were the only team to make official announces last week.

On Thursday, the President of Basketball Operations and General Manager, Mitch Kupchak, announced that the team released forward Xavier Sneed.

During the 2022/23 season, Sneed participated in four games with the Hornets, averaging 4.3 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 12.0 minutes per game.

He also made appearances in nine matches for the Memphis Grizzlies and Utah Jazz in the 2021/22 season, averaging 4.3 minutes per game.

Sneed represented the Hornets in this year’s California Classic and NBA 2K24 Summer League.

Over the last three seasons (2020-23), he played for the Greensboro Swarm, contributing an average of 11.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.2 steals in 86 games, 81 of which he started.

The other NBA Trade Tracker movement of the week

The only other piece of NBA Trade Tracker news was when Charlotte officially announced that they signed free agent guard Frank Ntilikina, who has participated in 316 games spanning six NBA seasons (2017 to 23) for the New York Knicks and the Dallas Mavericks.

His averages stand at 4.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 17.1 minutes per game.

Born in Belgium and raised in France, he spent three professional seasons (2014 to 17) playing for Strasbourg IG in the top French division, known as the Jeep Elite league, and was chosen to be part of Team World for the 2018 Rising Stars Challenge.

Having been originally selected as the eighth overall pick in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks, Ntilikina spent four seasons with the Knicks before moving on to the Dallas Mavericks for the past two campaigns.
