MTN Group has announced that Wandile Mtshali, Chief Executive Officer of MTN Eswatini, will step down on 31 October, 2025, to pursue new opportunities.
Over his 25 years with MTN, Mtshali has held senior leadership roles across various markets, and during his tenure in Eswatini, the company earned accolades for best network performance, top net promoter score (NPS), and multiple industry certifications.
Effective 1 November, 2025, Jerry J. Soko, currently General Manager of Commercial and Operations for Southern and East Africa, will assume the role of Interim CEO while the search for a permanent successor ensues.
“Wandile’s leadership has been instrumental. We thank him and look forward to continued growth under Jerry’s interim leadership,” said Ralph Mupita, Group CEO of MTN.
