In line with existing regulations, the Maroc Digital 2030 strategy, and broader sectoral goals, Morocco has officially launched a competitive bidding process to award 5G licenses and establish and operate 5G mobile telecommunications networks.

This initiative will equip the Kingdom with next-generation mobile technologies, supporting its ongoing economic and social development.

5G technology brings ultra-fast data speeds, minimal latency ideal for real-time applications, and the capacity to serve the diverse needs of sectors such as industry, transport, healthcare, and agriculture.

The tender documentation outlines the regulatory framework and technical and financial conditions for deploying 5G networks. It also details the commercial service delivery requirements, coverage, and quality obligations for license holders, and the evaluation and selection procedures. The results will be disclosed in a public report.
