The Museum of African Contemporary Art Al Maaden (MACAAL) in Marrakech has reopened after extensive renovations, offering a permanent home for the Lazraq family’s extensive collection of African contemporary art. The museum’s inaugural exhibition, “Africa Is No Island,” features works by 40 established and emerging photographers from across the continent and diaspora, highlighting the diversity and richness of African art.
