MESAN’s MEMED® series represents a field-proven family of mine and IED detectors, trusted by both military forces and humanitarian demining organizations. The systems have been widely adopted across regions as diverse as Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Africa, where operational conditions and mission requirements vary significantly. Built upon years of engineering expertise and certified to IMAS and international military standards, the MEMED® series demonstrates MESAN’s commitment to combining technological innovation with practical reliability.

MEPAK: Compact Power for Operational Units

Designed with mobility and speed in mind, MEPAK serves as the compact detector of the MEMED® series. Its fully foldable structure and weight of only 1,87 kg make it especially suitable for units that must rapidly deploy in dynamic environments.

Certified in compliance with IMAS and military standards (MIL-STD-810G), MEPAK maintains high detection sensitivity against anti-personnel and anti-tank mines, as well as metal-content IEDs—even in mineralized soils that often generate false alarms.

The system integrates an oval search head optimized for tight or uneven terrain, along with an adjustable telescopic arm that ensures ergonomic use whether standing or in prone positions. With approximately 12 hours of operation on standard Type-C batteries, MEPAK offers a balance of endurance and compactness, making it an ideal choice for fast-moving operational teams.

MEPAK – Compact Mine Detector

  • Weight: ~1,87 kg – lightweight, foldable design
  • Standards: IMAS, MIL-STD-810G, IP67 certified
  • Ground Modes: Normal & Mineral
  • Operation Time: ~12 hours
  • Search Head: Oval, optimized for narrow/uneven terrain
  • Arm: Adjustable telescopic for ergonomic use
  • Alerts: Audio, LED, and vibration
  • Operating Temp.: -30°C to +60°C

MEMAR: Endurance and Modularity for Humanitarian Demining

Where MEPAK emphasizes agility, MEMAR is built for extended missions requiring adaptability. At 2,4 kg, MEMAR provides up to 20 hours of continuous operation on widely available D-size batteries—ensuring uninterrupted field use even in remote areas.

Also, IMAS-certified and compliant with MIL-STD-810G, MEMAR combines detection reliability with versatility. Its standard oval search head supports effective scanning in irregular terrains while optional heads enhance mission flexibility: a probe head for vegetation-rich or hard-to-reach areas and a UXO head for detecting deeply buried unexploded ordnance.

Audio, visual, and vibration alerts further support operator awareness in challenging environments, reinforcing MEMAR’s role as a multi-purpose tool tailored to humanitarian demining efforts.

MEMAR – Metal Mine Detector

  • Weight: ~2,4 kg
  • Standards: IMAS, MIL-STD-810G, IP67 certified
  • Ground Modes: Normal & Mineral
  • Operation Time: ~20 hours
  • Search Head: Oval (standard), with optional Probe and UXO heads
  • Alerts: Audio, visual, and vibration
  • Operating Temp.: -30°C to +60°C

A Dual Approach to Modern Demining Needs

Together, MEPAK and MEMAR illustrate MESAN’s commitment to delivering mission-specific solutions rather than one-size-fits-all tools. Their deployment across regions such as Azerbaijan, Ukraine, and African states including Ghana, Togo, and Somalia highlights both their adaptability and international relevance.

By aligning national innovation with international standards, MESAN provides detectors that address the full spectrum of operational demands—from compact, rapid-response scenarios to long-duration humanitarian demining. MEPAK and MEMAR, as complementary assets within the MEMED® series, stand as proof of how specialized design can enhance safety and effectiveness across diverse mission environments.
