The Lagos State Government has announced that traffic will be diverted to Ikeja along the bus stop, between Ile Zik and Conoil service station, on Oshodi road, from Saturday to Sunday.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, disclosed this in a statement. Osiyemi said the diversion would be between midnight and 4am every day.
Osiyemi said the diversion would be between midnight and 4am every day.

According to him, the diversion was to enable the demolition of the old pedestrian bridge by the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, LAMATA.

He added that from the Ile Zik bus stop to the Conoil Petrol filling station on the side of Oshodi road, only one road would be available for motorists, to ensure safety. “Traffic diversion will not affect motorists on the Dopemu/Abule Egba side of the road during the demolition. “The Lagos State Traffic

Management Authority will be in place to manage the movement of vehicles and minimize disruption,” the commissioner said.
He asked for the cooperation of the drivers during this period. Osiyemi also said that the streets will be surrounded by barriers and safety nets to ensure the safety of drivers and passengers during this period.
